ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents particularly the second respondent to provide adequate police protection during the Temple festival to the deity by name Arulmighu Sri Muthumariamman situated at Kasukadai Street, Keelakavalkara Street, Manachanallur, Trichy District in the Tamil month of Vaikasi 29th, 2015 to the general public, the petitioner as well as his family.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. It appears that there are rivalry groups. A Peace Committee Meeting was also conducted and it was decided to have Committee for the purpose of conducting the festival. There is also a civil suit pending between two groups.

4. In view of the same, this Petition cannot be ordered. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Tahsildar for appropriate action including the incorporation in the proposed committee. The Tahsildar is also directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
