Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent herein to provide electricity connection to the petitioner's dwelling house in Survey No.2365/1B at Palayam Village in Kujiliyamparai (TK), Dindigul District by considering petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2019 in accordance with law within time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The writ petitioner seeks providing of electricity service connection to the petition mentioned dwelling house. Originally an attempt was made to draw the lines over the land belonging to the fifth respondent. Since the fifth respondent raised his opposition, TANGEDCO could not comply with the petitioner's request. That necessitated filing of this writ petition.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned standing counsel appearing for TANGEDCO as well as the learned

counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the electricity service connection can be provided to the petitioner over the lands not belonging to the fifth respondent. The petitioner also agreed to obtain way leave from the other land owners.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application and subject to fulfilment of all the other formalities electricity service connection would be given within a period of four weeks. No costs.
