ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondent to register a case based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 20.04.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given the complaint praying for legal action against the Income Tax officials as early as on 20.04.2015 and as no case has been registered against the proposed accused, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

4. The learned Special Public Prosecutor would submit that as the manual of CBI contemplates preliminary enquiry to be conducted before the registration of the case, it may take minimum of two to three weeks to complete the enquiry.

5. In view of the above submission, the respondent is directed to consider the complaint of the petitioner dated 20.04.2015, conduct preliminary enquiry and to take action in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
