This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of 'Adal Padal' on 29.04.2018 night at about 7.00 p.m. to 10. 30 pm, in connection with temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Anantha Kaliamman Thirukkovil situated at Kamarajapuram, Thummbakundu Post, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District and to provided adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.04.2018.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 17.04.2018 to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting to perform the program of 'Adal Padal' on 29.04.2018 night at about 7.00 p.m. to Anantha Kaliamman Thirukkovil is situated at Kamarajapuram, Thummbakundu Post, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law. 5.Considering the submission made by both parties, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 28.04.2018. The petitioner shall enclose a copy of a representation dated 17.04.2018 along with a copy of this order to the second respondent.
6.This writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
