O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take necessary action against the villagers and particularly, direct the 2nd respondent to give adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2016 to his life and limb and his other co-workers.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working as Supervisor under one S.Palaniappan for long time; that his capitalist has got necessary permission from the District Collector Madurai for excavating the savvodu soil; that suddenly villagers entered into the area being excavated and threatened the petitioner and other co-workers to stop the work; that the VAO in charge has lodged a complaint against the Villagers before the 2nd respondent, which resulted in registration of the case in Crime No.147 of 2016 under Sections 143, 188 and 353 IPC; that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

even thereafter, threat persists to the petitioner and his coworkers at the hands of the villagers; that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 26.07.2016 to the respondents for providing adequate police protection to his life and limb and also his co-workers. Since there was no response on his representation, he has approached this Court with the above relief.

4. Under such circumstances, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 26.07.2016 of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this direction, this petition is disposed of accordingly.
