Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records connected with the detention order passed in M.H.S.Confdl No.15/2021 dated 02.03.2021 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue or body of the detenue namely the petitioner's son i.e., Selvamurugan, aged about 29 years, S/o Ettuthevar, now detained at the Central Prison, Palayamkottai, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu namely, Selvamurugan, male, aged about 29 years, son of Ettuthevar, who has been branded as "Goonda" by the second respondent in M.H.S.Confdl No.15/2021 dated 02.03.2021, as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P.(MD) No.447 of 2021 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.1847, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIV) Department, dated 20.04.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked by the Government.
3. Recording the above submissions, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
