PRAYER in W.P[MD].No.5551 of 2020 : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent Director and fourth respondent District Collector, Ramnad to consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 25.02.2020 seeking employment to the post of Road Inspector, Grade-II under the second respondent, the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats. 5551 of 2020 : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent Director and fourth respondent District Collector, Thiruvannamalai to consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 21.02.2020 seeking employment to the post of Road Inspector, Grade-II under the second respondent, the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Ragatheesh Kumar for M/s.Isaac Chambers For Respondents: Mr.J.Ashok Additional Government Pleader C O M M O N O R D E R The relief sought for in the present writ petitions is to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 21.02.2020 and 25.02.2020.

2. According to the petitioners, they have completed a Industrial Course viz., Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Surveyor in July 2008. On 05.09.2013, the second respondent issued proceedings in Na.Ka.No.80654/011/EE4 dated 05.09.2013 to fill up 262 posts of Road Inspector, Grade-II and the State Government has also issued G.O.Ms.No.73, Rural Development and Panchayat (E3) Department dated 25.06.2014 giving permission to fill up those vacant posts through Employment Exchange as well as Direct Recruitment. In pursuant to the same, the fourth respondent/District Collector in all the writ petitions issued Notification inviting applications from eligible candidates. Thereafter, the petitioners have submitted their applications to the District Collector. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petitions have been filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would be sufficient if a direction is given to the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioners.

4. Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the representation of the petitioner is under consideration.

In view of the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without expressing anything on the merits of the case, directs the second and fourth respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 21.02.2020 and 25.02.2020 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above directions, these writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
