ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the representations, dated 25.08.2018 and 12.01.2019 for granting two incentives to the petitioner, one is for M.A.(Education) degree, which is Equivalent to M.Ed. degree and another incentive is for PG Diploma in English language Teaching, which is equivalent to PGDTE.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4 and the learned Counsel for the fifth respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is presently working as a PG Teacher in the fourth respondent School. The petitioner has possessed the additional qualification of M.A.(Education) and PG Diploma in English Language Teaching. According to the petitioner it is equivalent to M.Ed., and PGDTE. Hence, the petitioner gave representations dated 25.08.2018 and 12.01.2019 to the respondents seeking to grant two incentives, however, the same have not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the writ petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 as well as the learned Counsel appearing for the fifth respondent submitted that the representations of the petitioners would be considered by the respondents on merits, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the nature of the relief sought for by the petitioners and having regard to the submissions made by the learned Counsel on either side, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 25.08.2018 and 12.01.2019 seeking to grant two incentives and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
