PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.146 of 2019 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested on 10.02.2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 468, 471, 406, 409, 420 & 120B IPC in Crime No.146 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the first accused in this case is a husband of the petitioner herein. He was working in Indian Overseas Bank, Kadaladi Branch as Appraiser. On 19.12.2019, jewel inspection was conducted and it was found that jewels in 122 pockets was made of spurious gold, which was pledged for the loan amount of Rs.81,46,130/-. The said offence was committed by A1 with the help of the petitioner herein. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner herein is arrayed as A2 and she is in custody from 10.02.2021. 4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that investigation in this case is not yet completed.

5.It is seen from the submissions that the petitioner's husband, who is A1 in this case, was working as an Appraiser in Indian Overseas Bank, Kadaladi Branch and he had pledged spurious jewels in the name of various customers and caused loss to the tune of Rs.81,46,130/- to the bank with the connivance of this petitioner. This is very serious allegations. It appears that investigation in this case is not yet completed. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
