ORDER

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2017 and to file final report within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner is the defacto complainant who lodged a complaint which was registered in Crime No.6 of 2017 for the alleged offences under Sections 406 and 420 of I.P.C. It is stated that there was no further investigation and that a direction to expedite the investigation and to file final report will be in the interest of justice.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:-

" The respondent is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2017 and to file final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
