ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her husband on the representation made by the petitioner dated 27.10.2017.

2.Heard Mr.D.R.Murugesan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.S.Durai Pandian, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner states that she married a person of her choice. The petitioner and her husband by name Sakthivel have decided to marry each other and got married on 17.09.2017. It is stated that the parents of the petitioner have not accepted the marriage. Hence the parents of the petitioner decided to do away the life of the petitioner and her husband by through the hirelings. It is stated that the petitioner has given a complaint earlier before the Palladam Police Station. Since, the petitioner is now residing in and around the jurisdiction of the respondent police, the respondent and her husband have also made a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation to the second respondent on 27.10.2017. Since they were apprehending danger to the life and limb of the petitioner and no action was taken, they are before this Court by filing this petition for a direction to the respondent police. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is before this Court in person for seeking a positive direction.

5.Having regard to the nature of grievances and facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her husband based on the representation of the petitioner dated 27.10.2017 and to take proper action as it requires.
