ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A) and 506(i) IPC in Crime No.7 of 2018, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.This case came up for hearing before this Court on 26.04.2018. As per direction of this Court, the petitioner has appeared before the respondent Police for enquiry for three days, commencing from 03.05.2018.

3.It is seen that the petitioner is working as Assistant Professor in National Institute Technology, Trichirappalli. The petitioner's wife is employed in Live Stock Department at Kerala. They got married as early as on 23.05.2010 and a child was born out of their wedlock and the child is now with the wife. It is seen that matrimonial litigation is already pending between the parties since 2016.

4.In the circumstances question of custodial interrogation of the petitioner in connection with the criminal case registered against the petitioner, may not be necessary. Hence, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner with certain https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

conditions.

5.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchirappalli and on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. The petitioner shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously.

6.The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy is made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand dismissed.
