PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to pay the arrears of monetary benefits w.e.f. 01.01.2016 for Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) Promotion awarded to the petitioner by implementing the order passed by the 3rd respondent vide proceedings Mu.Mu.No. 9916/E3/2022 dated 26.09.2022 and Mu. Mu.No. 5283/E3/2023 dated 23.08.2023in the light of the G.O. issued by the 1st respondent in G.O(3D)No.17, Higher Education (E1) Department, dated 12.12.2025 based on the orders of this Court in W.A(MD)No.893 of 2025 dated 03.04.2025 which has been confirmed by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Special Leave Petition(Civil) Dairy No.31902/2025 dated 01.08.2025. ORDER
The petitioner with a grievance that though he is entitled for career advancement scheme, the benefits have not been provided to him has filed this writ petition.
2.When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents based on 2/5
the written instructions submits that the proposal made by the 5th respondent was approved by the 3rd respondent only on 04.02.2026 and therefore, they require some accommodation for implementing the same. 3.Since it is reported that the request of the petitioner has already been approved by the competent authority, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to implement the scheme and provide the benefits to the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt a copy of this order. No costs.
