ORDER

The petitioner has moved this Court by way of this Writ Petition to dispose of the appeal filed by him on 03.11.2022 under Section 23A of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920, within the stipulated period.

2. The appeal has been filed by the petitioner questioning the enhancement of the property tax in respect of his property. It is his case that the said appeal though filed on 03.11.2022, the same is yet to be taken up for consideration by the first respondent.

3. Considering the limited scope of the writ petition and on hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is allowed, directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
