The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for a direction directing the fist respondent to immediately rectify the community name from 'Maujagar' to 'Maniagar' in serial N.93 of the central list of OBCs for the State of Tamil Nadu, as per the second respondent's letter No.6487634/BCC/2024-1 dated 02.05.2024 and to correct the erroneous entry in the E-Seva Portal ie., https://tnedistrict.tn.gov.in and update the community name to 'Maniagar' in accordance with the community certificate issued to his daughter, S.Thiya 3/7

2.Heard Mr.S.Srikanth, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.K.Govindarajan, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for the first respondent and M/s.D.Farjana Ghousia, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 to 8 and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3.It is an admitted fact that the State Government has recommended to change the name from 'Maujagar' to 'Maniagar' in serial N.93 of the central list of OBCs for the State of Tamil Nadu, as per the second respondent's letter No. 6487634/BCC/2024-1 dated 02.05.2024.
4.In view of the above, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner either in the representation or in 4/7
the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, directing the first respondent to consider the State Government's recommendation letter, dated 02.05.2024 and pass orders appropriately. Since the petitioner's daughter is applying for NEET examination, the first respondent shall consider the same on or before 31st May, 2025.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
