RESPONDENTS Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to direct the respondents to admit the Father of the petitioner in any one of the Government or private hospital for perform surgery for the recovery of the petitioners father by name Murugan @ Ice Murugan S/o. Kasi now detained as Goonda in Trichy Central Prison. Prayer in Habeas Corpus Petition(MD) No.146/ 2020 : Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court will be pleased To calling for the entire records, connected with the detention order of the Respondent No.2 in P.D.O.No.10/2020 dated 18.02.
2020 and the quash the same and direct the Respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu by name Murugan @ Ice Murugan son of Kasi aged about 56 years, now detained as 'Goonda'in Trichy Central Prison before this Honorable Court and set him at liberty forthwith. Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondents the court made the following order:- (Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH,J.) It is the case of the petitioner that her father, namely, Murugan @ Ice Murugan, who is a detenu under Act 14 of 1982 and lodged in Central Prison, Trichirappalli, had suffered a fracture in his right upper limb and hence, she request treatment for her father either in a Private Hospital or in a Government Hospital.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced the medical certificate of the detenu, which shows that the detenu was given the best treatment in the Government Hospital, Trichy, from 19.02.2020 to 02.03.2020 and has been discharged.
3. In such view of the matter, we do not find any merit in the contention of the petitioner. However, if the Prison Doctor is of the opinion that the detenu requires further treatment, he shall refer him, under proper escort, to the Government General Hospital, Trichy, for treatment.
4. With the above direction, this miscellaneous petition stands disposed of.
