Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 3 to considering petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2024 and to permit the petitioner to participate as Kaimuraitharar and to conduct the Mahasivarathiri Festival in the temple of Sri Pudhukulathu Ayyanar Poorna Pushpakala Sametha Paramasiva Udayar Temple in Vasuthevanallur, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District from 07.03.2024 to 10.03.2024 in accordance with the customary practice. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

2.The petitioner's right to participate in the event and offer his worship cannot be prevented by anybody. However, this Court will not be justified in recognising any special status of the petitioner. 2/4

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader informed the Court that the third respondent shall organise peace committee meeting immediately and endeavour to resolve the issue peacefully. I hope that the issue will be amicably resolved.

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
