ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.55 of 2020 on the file of first respondent police Station

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that State of Tamil Nadu has already passed an Government Order in G.O(MS)No.368, dated 04.09.2021(Home Court-IV) Department stating that the Director General of Police has furnished the details of cases registered against the Freedom of Media/Press(2011-2021) and Protestors who protested peacefully against three Agricultural Amendment Laws, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

National Register of Citizens(NRC)/Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA), Eight Lane/Methane/Neutrino and Koodankulam issues as per Annexure(I -V) to be considered for withdrawal.

3. In view of the same, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the case pending in Crime No.55 of 2020 on the file of first respondent police Station

4. This Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and as a sequel, the proceedings in Crime no.55 of 2020 on the file of first respondent police Station, is hereby quashed in so far as the petitioner alone. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
