This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry based on the petitioners' representation dated 02.03.2023. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the second respondent police is harassing the petitioners and he may be directed not to harass them.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the respondent police is conducting an enquiry on a complaint forwarded by the Superintendent of Police, Madurai. The petitioners have not co-operated with the enquiry and therefore, the complaint is still kept pending. 4.The learned Counsel for the third respondent submits that this is a case of impersonation and forgery of documents. However, the respondent 2/5

police is keeping the complaint pending without any progress. 5.Considering the rival submissions made, the petitioners are directed to appear before the respondent police for enquiry on 17.04.2024. The respondent police is not supposed to keep the petition/enquiry pending for more than four weeks. The respondent police has to take a decision on the complaint, either way, within a period of two weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioners. During the course of enquiry, the respondent police is expected not to harass the petitioners. 6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed. 10.04.2024 NCC : Yes/No Internet:Yes/No Index:Yes/No LR 3/5
