The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of O.A.No.1 of 2024, filed by the petitioners under Section 63(e) of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act, within a time frame.

2. Heard Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the first respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Having regard to the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 2 to 6 is dispensed with. 2/5

Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the application filed by the petitioners is still pending consideration and the same would be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame.

4. Considering the scope of the prayer which lies in a narrow compass, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the application filed by the petitioners in O.A.No.1 of 2024, if not disposed of earlier and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the parties concerned, within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 13.03.2025 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No PKN 3/5
