This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal proceedings Page No. 1 of 4

pending before him, preferred by the petitioner on 11.12.2025, in accordance with law, within such time as may be stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that her request for issuance of patta in her favour was rejected vide order dated 29.06.2024, which was challenged before this Court in W.P.(MD) No.4023 of 2025. This Court, vide order dated 14.02.2025, set aside the said order dated 29.06.2024 and remitted the matter to the Tahsildar for fresh consideration on merits and in accordance with law. Thereafter, the third respondent once again rejected the petitioner's request vide order dated 14.11.2025, as against which the petitioner filed an appeal dated 11.12.2025 before the respondent. However, the said appeal has not been considered and disposed of till date. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's appeal Page No. 2 of 4

dated 11.12.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 11.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The appeal shall be disposed of after conducting enquiry. The respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no order as to costs.
