Respondent Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to issue a direction, to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in respect of the First Information Report in Crime No.73 of 2017, dated 18.01.2017 and to file final report before the Learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in respect of the First Information Report in Crime No.73 of 2017, dated 18.01.2017 and to file final report before the Learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner is the defacto complainant and he lodged a complaint as against few individuals and the same was registered in Crime No.73 of 2017 for the alleged offences under Sections 294 (b), 387 and 506(ii) of I.P.C.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that there was no further enquiry and that therefore, a direction by this Court to expedite the investigation and to file final report will be in the interest of justice.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.73 of 2017 and to file final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
