O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to complete the enquiry pending in Na.Ka.No. 7345/2025/A4 dated 17.10.2025 within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the third and fourth respondents, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against them.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner purchased land measuring an extent of 5 Acres and 12 Cents from one Kammal and the other legal heirs of Rakkayiammal. However, by mistake, the revenue authorities issued patta only to an extent of 1 Acre. Therefore, the petitioner filed a petition seeking rectification of the mistake and issuance Page No. 2 of 5

of patta for the entire extent. The first respondent issued summons dated 17.10.2025 in Na.Ka.No.7345/2025/A4 to the private respondents for enquiry. However, thereafter, no action has been taken to complete the enquiry or to pass any order. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions, would submit that the enquiry on the petitioner's petition would be completed and appropriate orders would be disposed of by the first respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to complete the enquiry on the petitioner's petition in Na.Ka.No.7345/2025/A4 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the private respondents and any other interested parties who may be Page No. 3 of 5

affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no order as to costs.
