PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2018 and to earmark the property in Chokkalingapuram Village in S.No.385/6A, Melur Taluk, Madurai District for Patta No.22 to the petitioner. ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the second respondent will take a decision on the petition mentioned representation on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

2. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of.

3.It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the matter. The second respondent shall pass orders one way or the other on merits and in accordance with law, after putting the petitioner and all the interested persons on notice. 4.It is further made clear that this Court has not given any positive direction in favour of the writ petitioner. The only direction that is now given is that the petitioner's request would be disposed of. No costs.
