Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. A proposal for amalgamating the respondents 5 and 6 Societies has been received by the second respondent. The petitioner wants order to be passed in that regard.
3. The second respondent is directed to take note of the statutory requirements set out in Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 13.10.2023 on merits and in accordance with law. Final order shall be passed by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

4. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
