ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had filed this Writ Petition seeking direction against the Respondents to grant the permission and protection for conducting the temple festival in Sri Meenakshi Amman, Rakkatchi Amman, Karuppan (Kula Deivam) at Chinnavaravani Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District on 10.03.2024 and 11.03.2024. It is his submission that the petitioner had given a representation on 27.02.2024. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions of the respondents, refused the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had given the representation personally on 27.02.2024. He would further submit that the respondent Police received the petitioner's representation by Post on 01.03.2024.

3.Considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders favorably, in the light of the circular of the Director General of Police, Head of State Police Force, Tamil Nadu, Chennai-4, issued in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019. The petitioner as Organizer of the festival shall pay the cost as per the circular of the Director General of Police, Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, issued in Rc.No.193784/PAC-2/2017, dated 19.03.2019 for police protection.
