ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to transfer Patta to the legal heirs of petitioner's father Late.Maduraiveeran, based on the succession certificate in Pa.Mu.No. 3425/2025/A5, dated 23.10.2025, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.01.2026.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the subject property is ancestral in nature and the petitioner and other legal heirs are in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the said property. It is further submitted that the petitioner made an application dated 01.11.2025 and also submitted a representation dated 18.01.2026 seeking transfer of Patta. However, despite receipt of the same, the second respondent has neither considered the same nor passed any orders thereon so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's application will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 01.11.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
