PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2025 in accordance with law, within the time limit stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2025, in accordance with law.

2.According to the petitioner, he is a devotee of Kulumayi Amman Temple, Uyyankondan Malai, Trichy District and the said temple is existing for more than 250 years. A festival is being celebrated in the said temple by the various community people every year. This year also they decided to celebrate 2/6

the festival on 04.03.2025. While so, there is a dispute among two community people. Therefore, there is a chance for law and order issue, hence the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents dated 24.02.2025, through registered post and the same was received by the respondents on 25.02.2025 and thereafter, they have not taken any steps.

3.Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that already Peace Committee Meeting was conducted between the parties and both parties assured to conduct the festival without creating any law and order issue. To that effect, they also signed in the Peace Committee Meeting resolution. The festival also commenced without any disturbance to the public. Now, the festival is going on smoothly. Learned Counsel for the first respondent also affirmed the said submission. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter.

4.Learned Counsel for the petitioner in reply to the same would submit that the petitioner was not informed about the Peace Committee Meeting and his representation is not considered till now.

5.This Court heard both sides and perused the records placed before this Court.

6.This Court perused the representation of the petitioner and it is seen that the representation is to give police protection for the temple festival. Already in the Peace Committee Meeting, both the parties decided to conduct the festival in a peaceful manner. The second respondent also assured to give police protection for the temple festival, considering the larger interest of the public, therefore in view of the same, no further orders are required to be passed in this case. 7.Recording the aforesaid submission of the respondents, this Writ Petition stands closed.
