ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to remove the name board and inscription as per the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting dated 30.07.2021, based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2021, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that since a peace committee meeting is conducted to resolve the disputes between two groups, a resolution has been passed on 30.07.2021 in the presence of the 1/3
third respondent. As per the resolution, the rival groups agreed to remove the name board and inscription as mentioned in the resolution. According to the petitioner, till date the said name board and inscription have not been removed. The petitioner has given a representation on 19.08.2021 for the said purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, he has filed this writ petition.
3.Heard Mr.Arunnithy, learned Counsel for the writ petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the third respondent will remove the name board and inscription with the assistance of the fifth respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The said intimation given by the third respondent is recorded. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the third respondent to remove the name board and inscription found at S.No.263, Puduchukkampatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, as per the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting dated 30.07.2021 within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
