ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.R.M.Anbunidhi, Additional Public Prosecutor for the Petitioners and Mr.K.Sudalaiyandi, Advocate for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

2. The Inspector of Police, CBCID, Tirunelveli and the Inspector of Police, Panagudi Police Station, Tirunelveli District have filed this petition seeking extension of time to complete the investigation.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that so far 105 witnesses have been examined. He would further submit that due to pandemic situation and the transfer of Investigating Officer frequently, they could not able to complete the investigation.
4. This Court, on earlier occasion, directed the petitioners herein to complete the investigation within a period of four months. Thereafter, it was periodically extended. However, considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is inclined to grant four months time to the petitioners to complete the investigation from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands ordered.
