PRAYER: Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to direct the respondents 1 to 3 herein to produce the body or person of Vinitha, D/o.Vettaiyan, aged about 19 years herein before this Court and set her at liberty.

DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN., J AND R.POORNIMA.,J The mother being aggrieved that the Police has not traced her missing daughter despite a complaint has approached this Court seeking Habeas Corpus. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3.The petitioner suspecting that her daughter has been under illegal custody of the fourth respondent has claimed that the body of her daughter must be produced before this Court. On 18.03.2025, the daughter of the petitioner appeared through 'video conference' and stated that she on her own left her family and got married to the fourth respondent, whom she love. Since she apprehends danger to her life at the hands of her parents and relatives, she is not able to come to the Court in person. This Court assured her that adequate protection will be given to her and directed her to appear before this Court. Accordingly, today the petitioner and her daughter are present.
4.The enquiry with the daughter reveals that she on her own had left the family and living with the fourth respondent as husband and wife. She is not inclined to join her parents.
5.In view of the above statement given by the daughter of the petitioner, this Court is satisfied that the petitioner's daughter is not under illegal custody of the fourth respondent.
