Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release the petitioner's TATA 909 Tempo bearing Registration No.KL-02AD 3277 seized by the second respondent on 18.05.2017, now under the custody of the second respondent. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Russel Raj For Respondents : Mr.K.Mu.Muthu, Additional Government Pleader.

O R D E R

The petitioner's vehicle was seized for alleged violation of the provisions of the Essential Commodities Act. Seeking its release, this Writ petition came to be filed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader produced a copy of the order dated 06.03.2019 confiscating the petition mentioned vehicle.

3. Therefore, the petitioner will have to file an appeal before the jurisdictional Sessions Court. Giving such liberty to the petitioner, this Writ petition stands closed. No costs.
