O R D E R

The present Petition has been filed by the sole accused in Spl.CC No.206/2025, on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases Under POCSO Act, Tirunelveli, wherein, the Petitioner is charge sheeted for the offence under Section 9 of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 and Section 5(j), 5(n), 5(j)(ii) and 6 of Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act, 2012,.

2.The date of birth of the victim girl is 20.10.2007. She had attained majority on 20.10.2025. The victim had got married to the accused person on 20.2.2026 and the marriage has been registered on 17.3.2026 before the Registrar of Marriages,Gangaikondan and certificate to that effect is produced before this Court. The victim girl appeared before this Court on 13.03.2026 and submitted that she had married the accused person and leading a peaceful married life and she agreed for quashing the charge 2/5

sheet as against her husband and for production of Marriage Certificate, the matter is adjourned today. Today the Marriage Registration certificate has been produced by the learned counsel for the Petitioner. They have also filed a Joint Compromise Memo to that effect. 3.In view of the above said facts, the charge sheet in Spl.CC No. 206/2025 as against the Petitioner, on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases Under POCSO Act, Tirunelveli stands quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The Joint Compromise Memo shall form part and parcel of the order.
