ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner, who is a practising Advocate in Thoothukudi, has filed this writ petition as a public interest litigation targeted against the fourth respondent-Industry, alleging that the fourth respondent-Industry is causing severe pollution in the locality.

2. The affidavit filed in support of the writ petition is bereft of particulars and the representation also is absolutely vague. The writ petitioner, being a lawyer should have done some more research before he ventures to file a public interest litigation against an industry.

3. Furthermore, it is stated that the fourth respondentindustry has been functioning for several years in the same place. Thus, on the given facts, we are not convinced to entertain this writ petition. Therefore, the writ petition is closed, giving liberty to the petitioner to do further research in the matter and after giving a comprehensive representation and allowing reasonable time to the officials to act on the representation only the petitioner can seek for any legal recourse.

4. With the above observation, the writ petition is closed. No costs.
