O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent police to expedite the investigation in connection with Crime No.24 of 2017 on the file of the second respondent police and file the charge sheet within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner states that on the basis of the complaint lodged by him a case was registered in Cr.No.115 of 2013 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 120(b), 406 and 420 IPC on 28.09.2013 and thereafter the investigation was transferred to the second respondent and the case is pending in Cr.No.24 of 2017.
3.It is further stated that there was no progress in the investigation and that the charge sheet is unnecessarily delayed for no valid reason and a direction by this Court for expedite the investigation and to file a final report will be in the interest of justice.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the investigation is nearing completion and that a final report likely to be filed within the reasonable time, not exceeding four months.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to issue the follow directions: 5.1.The second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Cr.No.24 of 2017 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.In view of the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
