O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to issue Panjamarjari patta in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.915/1, measuring 2.01.5 Ares Page No. 1 of 5

(4.98 acres), situated at Veerapandi Village, Theni Taluk, Theni District, based on the registered Sale Deed dated 08.04.2018 in Document No. 5167/2018 and pursuant to the online application dated 14.12.2018 submitted by the petitioner.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he submitted an online application dated 14.12.2018 seeking transfer of patta as Panjamar Jari land in respect of the property purchased by him under a Sale Deed dated 08.04.2018. However, no action has been taken on the said application. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.06.2023 to the Revenue Divisional Officer, who in turn directed the respondent to take appropriate action. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted another representation dated 11.09.2024 to the respondent. Even thereafter, no action has been taken.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's online application dated Page No. 2 of 5

14.12.2018 and the representation dated 11.09.2024 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks.

Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's online application dated 14.12.2018 and the representation dated 11.09.2024 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The application and the representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. No costs.
