For Respondent : Mr.S.Chandrasekar, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR BAIL Under Sec.439 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- To release the petitioner on bail in Cr.No.755 of 2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police Cantonment Police Station. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. 2.The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 379 @ 394 of IPC, in Crime No.755 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3.The petitioner herein is the purchaser of the stolen property. Based on the confession statement of A1 viz., Rani, the police has recovered the stolen property. The role of this petitioner is spoken elaborately in the confession statement. The stolen property has been received by this petitioner. One Rani/A1 appears to be a traveller along with defacto complainant in the bus, has offered the complainant to eat Laddu laced with sedative. CRL OP(MD) No.4814 of 2020 she was in semi conscious stage, Rani/A1 has removed gold ornaments from the complainant. The stolen jewels are purchased by this petitioner.

4.Considering the nature of crime and role of this petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail at this stage. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
