This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary steps to rectify the errors in the Field Measurement Book (FMB), based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2025, within a stipulated time frame and in accordance with law.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the extent of his land has been wrongly mentioned in the FMB sketch and shown as less than the actual extent reflected in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 29.08.2025 to the first respondent seeking rectification of the errors in the FMB sketch and correction of the same in accordance with the Sale Deed dated 20.03.2025, registered as Document No.1199 of 2025. However, no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition. Page No. 2 of 5
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the first respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.
5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order.
