ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 109 and 351(3) of BNS Act, 2023, in Crime No.25 of 2026, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, due to a wordy quarrel, the petitioner, along with other accused persons, attacked the defacto complainant with a liquor bottle and caused injuries. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petitioner is having 15 previous cases and that he is a history sheeter. He further submitted that the 2/4

injured has been discharged from the hospital. However, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. This Court has already granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner in another case. Pending execution of sureties in that case, the present case has been registered against the petitioner. The defacto complainant sustained a head injury. Even though the injured has been discharged, on perusal of the petitioner's previous antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. (S S Y J) 24.02.2026 jbr TO
