Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 120(b), 406, 420, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.16 of 2018 on the file of the District Crime Branch, Tirunelveli District.

2.The allegations made by the defacto complainant is that the accused herein promised to arrange him loan for a sum of Rs.120 crores. Believing their words, he gave a sum of Rs.73.00 lakhs in cash. But, after receiving the said amount from the defacto complainant, no such loan was arranged by the petitioners. Hence, the present complaint has been given.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was pointed out that the first petitioner and the third petitioner are having previous cases to their credit under Section 420 of IPC. It appears that the first petitioner was even convicted in the year 2004. Since the complaint requires detailed probe and custodial interrogation of the petitioners is also warranted, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
