This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant permission to celebrate "Punitha Thomaiyar Thiruvizha" at Punitha Thomaiyar Church, Alambakkam, Lalkudi Taluk, Trichy District, dated 23.04.2018, the Flag Hoisting function is started and on 07.05.2018 and 08.05.2018 Car Bhavani, based on the petitioner's application dated 12.04.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 12.04.2018 to the respondents. But, the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, he approached this Court by filing this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has to make a representation to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lalgudi, Trichy.

5. In view of the above said submission, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lalgudi, Trichy on or before 26.04.2018 and if any such representation is received by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lalgudi, Trichy, the same shall be considered and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 04.05.2018.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
