ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to extend the lease period of the petitioner, which expires on 31.03.2022.
2.The petitioner has been granted lease to collect entry fees for the daily market and the lease expires on 31.03.2022. The petitioner seeks for extension of lease. He has submitted a representation on 10.03.2022 for the said purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, he has filed this writ petition.
3.Heard Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned Counsel for the writ petitioner and Mr.A.Pandiarajan, learned standing counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.
4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if the representation of the petitioner is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner including granting him the right of personal hearing. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2022 requesting the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.[MD]No.5302 of 2022 respondent to extend the lease period, which expires on 31.03.2022, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner, including granting him the right of personal hearing, within a period of four [4] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
