ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground based on the representations dated 21.06.2006 and 22.12.2017.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for hearing at the stage of admission.

3.The case of the petitioner is that his father who was working as a Village Administrative Officer at Sunnabiruppu Group, Thiruppathur, passed away while in service. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the representations of the petitioner dated 21.06.2006 and 22.12.2017, seeking appointment on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

compassionate ground, have not been considered till date, though the first respondent sent a communication dated 16.09.2010 to the Zonal Manager, Tamil Nadu Forest Ranger, Karaikudi stating that the petitioner is eligible for compassionate appointment. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits. 5.In such view of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.12.2017 in the light of the proceedings of the first respondent dated 16.09.2010 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
