The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural events of "Innisai Katcheri" from 01.05.2018 to 10.05.2018 at Sri Alagu Parvathi Amman Temple, Surandai, Veeralakeralamputhur Taluk, Tirunelveli District and to give police protection during the festival sessions by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 16.04.2018 and the same is pending before the second respondent. Since no order has been passed, the present writ petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the said representation is pending before the second respondent and the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. By considering the submissions made by the parties concerned, the petitioner is directed to submit a copy of this order along with the copy of the said representation to the second respondent. On such receipt, this Court, without going into merits, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2018, and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 28.04.2018.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
