O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeus Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenue of petitioner's wife namely Pushpalatha aged about 28 years and handover her custody at liberty to the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is the husband of the detenue and they got married and they have no issued. While being so, on 07.01.2026 she left the matrimonial home and her whereabouts is not known. Therefore the petitioner lodged complaint before the second respondent and the same has been registered in Crime No. 3 of 2026 under 'Woman Missing'. During investigation the second respondent suspected that the detenue eloped with one Maandha @ Mahendran who is habitual offender involved in chain snatching therefore the detenu is not under illegal detention of one.

3. In view of the same the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report before the concerned Court within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Habeus Corpus Petition stands disposed of.
