ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing he respondents 1 to 3 to endorse, mark, and register the petitioner's objection dated 14.01.2026 in the Index IV Book maintained in the office of the third respondent.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is submitted that the petitioner was appointed as a Power of Attorney Agent by the fourth respondent. He had exercised such power and, while in the process of selling the lands by forming plots, the power was suddenly cancelled. Subsequently, the fourth respondent settled the property in favour of his wife.

3. In these circumstances, the petitioner has submitted his objections. It is also stated that he has filed a Civil Suit in O.S.No.4 of 2026, which is pending before the Principal District Munsif Court, Sathankulam.

4. It is evident that the grievance of the petitioner arises out of an alleged violation of a personal contract, wherein he claims to have invested money, and thereafter, the power was cancelled.

5. In view of the above, even if it is contended that the Power of Attorney is coupled with interest and cannot be revoked, unless the petitioner obtains appropriate orders from the competent Civil Court, he cannot, by way of a mere representation, seek a direction to have his objections recorded.

6. Since the objections pertain to enforcement of a personal contract and do not appear to create any right over the property, the relief sought cannot be granted. However, if the petitioner obtains any interim order, such as an injunction or attachment against the property from the Civil Court, he is at liberty to approach the Sub-Registrar for registration of the same.

7. With the above observations and liberty to the petitioner to seek appropriate interim relief before the Civil Court, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
