ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 10.03.2022 submitted thereby, requesting the respondents to continue the confinement of petitioner's son Selvakumar at Central Prison, Madurai, till his completion of entire sentence.
2. The case of the petitioner is that petitioner's son, Selvakumar, is convicted in a murder case and sentenced to life imprisonment and confined at Central Prison, Madurai. Originally, he was confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore and thereafter, he was shifted to Central Prison, Madurai. For the reason that he is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P(MD)No.5306 of 2022 facing trial in another murder case in S.C.No.34 of 2020, on the file of the Additional District Sessions Court, Dindigul. Now the petitioner made representation, dated 10.03.2022, requesting the respondents to transfer is son to another prison. Since she is old mother if he shifted to another prison, she could not able to see her son. Such request cannot be granted. The accused may be transferred to another on the ground of administration. Now he has been shifted from Central Prison, Coimbatore to Madurai prison to attend the trial in S.C.No.34 of 2020 on the file of Additional District Sessions Court, Dindigul. Prayer sought for in this petition cannot be granted and the case is devoid of merits.
3. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
