O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to include the name of the petitioner in Patta No.2696 relating to S.F.No.1456/1W, situated at Agaram Village, Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District, on the basis of the registered document bearing Document No.2083 of 2018.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the properties comprised in Patta No.2698, namely S.F.No.1456/1L measuring an extent of 10 cents, S.F.No.1456/1R measuring an extent of 27 cents, S.F.No.1457/2 measuring an extent of 24 cents and Patta No.2696 in S.F.No.1456/1W measuring an extent of 10 cents, originally belonged to one Viswasam. After his demise, his legal heirs have been in possession and enjoyment of the said properties.

4. The property in S.F.No.1456/1W was purchased by the petitioner by way of a registered Sale Deed dated 02.05.2018, registered as Page No. 2 of 5

Document No.2083 of 2018. The said properties were covered under Patta Nos.2696 and 2698. Patta No.2698 was subsequently transferred in the name of the petitioner and subdivided as Patta Nos.7204 and 7051. However, in respect of the joint Patta No.2696 relating to S.F.No. 1456/1W, the name of the petitioner has not been included.

5. Therefore, the petitioner approached the second respondent on several occasions. However, no action has been taken. Recently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 13.06.2025, which also did not evoke any response. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

6. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the second respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.

7. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a Page No. 3 of 5

direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order.
