: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground appointment, due to the death of the petitioner's mother Karupayee (Police Constable No.650) while she was in service and direct the respondents to provide death and other monetary benefits to the petitioner on the basis of her representations dated 19.12.2016 and 08.10.2018.

O R D E R

*********** The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking appointment on compassionate ground, by considering her representations dated 19.12.2016 and 08.10.2018.

2. Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The representations made by the petitioner dated 19.12.2016 and 08.10.2018 seeking appointment on compassionate ground due to the death of her mother by suicide while in service, for which, a criminal case is pending trial, have not been considered so far and hence, she is before this Court with the present Writ Petition seeking appropriate reliefs. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 08.10.2018

would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.10.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
