O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking to quash the case registered in C.C.No.202 of 2015 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Usilampatti, Madurai.

2. It is seen that a case has been registered for the alleged offences under Sections 347, 294(b) and 506(i) IPC, r/w Section 4 of TNPHW Act, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Usilampatti, Madurai District, against the petitioner/A1. 3.The second respondent, who is the daughter of the petitioner married one Dinesh, without the consent of their families and now she filed a complaint against the petitioner and the other accused alleging that they have threatened her to divorce her husband and also gave life threat to her.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the petitioner/A1 and the second respondent/defacto complainant, appeared in person and their identifications were also verified by this Court, in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

addition to the confirmation of the identity of the parties by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) through the respondent police.

5. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 09.08.2016, the matter is referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai, to resolve their dispute amicably. Today, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the matter is now compromised between the parties via Mediation and the Report also produced by the parties.

6.Further, the report of the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai, would show that the dispute between the parties have been settled and the second respondent has agreed to quash the case in C.C.No.202 of 2015 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Usilampatti, Madurai.

7. Hence, in view of Mediation Report dated 16.08.2016, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the entire proceedings in C.C.No.202 of 2015 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Usilampatti, Madurai District, in respect of the petitioner/A1 is hereby quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
